How can you help us?
There are various ways that you can help us, some requiring time and commitment from you and some not. For some ideas, please see below:
Membership: Become a member of the friends - no commitment necessary, simply send us your details and receive a bi-annual newsletter and regular email updates.
Volunteer: There are many ways in which you can volunteer - either behind the scenes such as helping to plan events; join the committee or you can become a volunteer gardener or help with selling goods at car boot sales etc. Volunteer as much or as little time as you wish, any time is helpful.
Committee: Become a committee member - either of the executive or the Young members’ (see below). Requirements are a minimum of one evening per month.
To become a member, volunteer or committee member simply contact the FDP Secretary on 01752 213308 or via pamgee@friendsofdevonportpark.co.uk
How can YOU help YOUR PARK?

Ÿ
LITTER - Litter can be very harmful to humans and wildlife alike so please place ALL litter in one of the numerous bins provided! If you see any discarded litter, please be a friend to your park and it’s wildlife by picking it up and putting it in a bin - thank you.

Ÿ
VANDALISM - have you seen some vandalism happening? Someone breaking the law? Abusive behaviour? Please report any suspicious or unwanted behaviour to either the park staff or  the police. We do not advise anyone to personally challenge anyone displaying such behaviour themselves.

Ÿ
WILDLIFE - we have lots of wonderful wildlife in our park (see the wildlife page) and would love to hear your stories & see your pictures of our furry (or not) friends. Please email Mel Gallagher on melgallagher@friendsofdevonportpark.co.uk or call 01752 213308 to share them with the world!
The Bandstand and “Buy A Brick Campaign”!

Thank you to the many people and organisations who have already purchased a “brick” (victorian paving slab), immortalising their loved one’s or other names, or company details in the upcoming design of the new Devonport Park Bandstand. Despite now having the necessary funds and as a result of it’s popularity, we are still continuing to raise funds towards projects within the park by selling these Victorian bricks. Details on how to purchase a brick are below.

The current new deadline for purchases is the 28th Feb 2012.

The starting price for individuals is £25 per brick (Victorian paver) and if you are interested I would act quickly as they are selling out fast!
For more details, contact Mike Gallagher at 01752 213308 or by email using
mikegallagher@friendsofdevonportpark.co.uk

Please remember that we are a completely voluntary group who are entirely dependent upon donations in order to continue our work in our beautiful historic Devonport Park.

To donate to the bandstand fund, click on the PayPal donation link below or contact Mike Gallagher by email or on 01752 213308.

Sponsors:

What better way to support your company's local community than to become a sponsor of a local voluntary cause? All sponsors will be advertised on our website with links to their own webpages, as well as being detailed in our quearterly newsletter and on our literature (unless requested otherwise).

Donations:

The FDP are a completely non-profit organisation and as such, all funds received as donations or raised at our annual fund-raising events are put towards the restoration of Devonport Park, newsletters or future events. Cash donations are always welcomed and needed - the more money we have, the better the restoration project can become for the park and the local community. Click on the relevant links on the right to donate now.

If you would like to become a sponsor or make a donation to our cause, please contact:

Mr Mike Gallagher, the secretary of the FDP commitee.
