Songwriting Competition:
Calling All Budding Songwriters


The Devonport Park Community Choir has launched a song writing competition. The winning song will be performed by the choir in Devonport Park as part of their performance to celebrate the newly built bandstand.
Minimum requirements as follows:
 Lyrics need to be relevant to Devonport Park and consist of a minimum of two verses and chorus
 A melody for the text and chords that would accompany the melody
 Written with a choir in mind for the performance but any musical style is acceptable
 Entries must consist of a paper copy of the song. Chords can be added above the text and the melody either notated in manuscript or provided on an audio CD
 The winner will have their song performed from the bandstand by the choir at its official opening in the Spring of 2012
 Closing date for entries is February 14th 2012. Post your song to Devonport Park Songwriting Competition, 7, Acre Cottages, Plymouth
